Another incredible week of competition across the Bay Area! We’re excited to celebrate this week’s Charlie Wedemeyer Memorial Coaches of the Week and Players of the Week, proudly presented by U.S. Bank.

Congratulations to this week’s honorees:

Ines Coyne of Acalanes High School, our #49ersFLAG Player of the Week. The junior showcased her dual-threat ability with 65 rushing yards and 57 passing yards with two touchdowns as Acalanes beat Monte Vista 13-0. She added two tackles. Coyne also threw for 98 yards and ran for 43 with a pair of tackles and a pass deflection in a 6-0 win over Benicia, and ran for 155 yards with a touchdown, five tackles, and an interception in a 13-6 win over College Park.

Adrian Masaniai of Deer Valley High School, our #49ersPREP Player of the Week. The senior had himself a game, throwing for seven touchdowns and 396 yards on 20-of-25 passing, as Deer Valley improved to 3-0 with a 54-27 victory over Berkeley.

We’re also proud to recognize our Coaches of the Week:

John Amarillas of Notre Dame High School, Flag Coach of the Week. Coach Amarillas led Notre Dame to a 32-0 victory over Mountain View.

Virgil Hart of Hayward High School, PREP Coach of the Week. Coach Hart guided Hayward to a commanding 55-20 win over Balboa.
