Congrats to Nelson Tran of Independence High School for being our #49ersPREP Charlie Wedemeyer Memorial Coach of the Week and Isaiah Ortiz of Campolindo High School, our Player of the Week presented by U.S. Bank!

Coach Tran expressed his excitement about launching the girls flag football program at his high school stating, "It's truly fantastic for the sport to witness the sheer enjoyment these girls are experiencing in only their second or third game of their playing careers."

Isaiah's love for football began in the 4th grade, when he first stepped onto the field playing flag football. His natural talent as a quarterback quickly became apparent with his exceptional throwing abilities.
