The Prefontaine Classic was 🔥 this weekend.
World-class performances. Packed stadium. The greatest athletes on Earth doing what they do.

And almost everyone was wearing the same kit.
That one detail tells you everything about what’s holding our sport back.

We take Jordans, Bradys, and Currys — and turn them into freelancers. No team. No locker room. No structure. Just a shoe deal and “good luck.”
But here’s what nobody’s saying out loud:
The teams already exist. We just call them camps.
Every elite training group in this country is already a roster, a coaching staff, and a culture. They’re missing a jersey, a scoreboard, and a stake in the outcome.
Half of U.S. athletes ranked top 10 IN THE WORLD in their event earn less than $15K a year from the sport.
Top ten. On Earth. Under $15K.
That’s what a sport without team structure pays its franchise players.
The fix isn’t complicated — convert the camps into clubs, score the competitions, share the revenue, build the support system.
