Multiple agencies, including the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Department of Marine Resources, Gulf Islands National Seashore, and the United Cajun Navy, are assisting in the search.

Nolan is described as a 6-foot-1, 180-pound Black male. Officials say he was last seen wearing blue swim trunks, sunglasses, and no shirt. Search crews are focusing on Nolan’s last known location after volunteers said it’s unlikely he wandered into the island’s interior due to the rough terrain.

Authorities are asking anyone who was on Horn Island that day or spoke with Nolan before he disappeared to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at 228-769-3063. Investigators say even the smallest piece of information could help locate him.
