Harnden has been a driving force behind Auburn’s sprint dominance for four years.

As an athlete, he was a two-time Olympian for Zimbabwe in the 400m hurdles (1996 and 2000), Harnden won the 1995 NCAA 400m hurdles title for North Carolina and holds Zimbabwe’s national record at 48.05.

He brings 22 years of NCAA Division I coaching experience to the head role, with seven USTFCCCA National Assistant Coach of the Year awards — four of them earned at Auburn.

At Auburn, he’s overseen:

– 2 relay national titles
