We have forgotten what our bodies are for …. We are obsessed with how much we weigh , the size of our jeans , the shape of our mid section and if we look the same as the social norms or current trends … 

I spent years suck in that never ending struggle of body confidence and conformity and only when I finally let go of insulting myself and allowed myself to lean into movement , health , exercise and learning new skills did I finally appreciate what this little body of mine can achieve when I care for it. 

No one’s body is perfect , I too wished for a little more height, a little less junk in my trunk and as a teenage girl my athletic legs and arms got me bullied and made me resentful but with age comes wisdom and I see the same patterns and conversations happening in front of me now and I believe I can help …. 

Young women mostly asking me how to change their body and how to make it smaller rather than how to become stronger , more skilled, more powerful , more confident and live happier lives and so here I am to remind us all ….. 

You can be magnificent, exactly as you are, as I am, thick legs, wild hair, stretch marks , 1 squint pinky and an old broken nose … 

It should never have been about your size or shape. 

You are a weapon , a machine …. So let’s start acting like it ! 

See health , ability, skill and strength before size, shape and trending aesthetics. 

Show your teenagers , have them listen and learn. 

We will be “Unapologetically athletic” together 🩷
