Two Asian guards, two completely different paths — and a direct challenge to every scout and GM who said guards like this don’t pass the eye test.

For years, Asian guards were dismissed. Too small. Not explosive enough. Not NBA material.

Jeremy Lin being the first Asian (full) point guard that played in a starting lineup of NBA. There hasn’t been anyone else since then.

Yuki Kawamura has been in 3 NBA teams and playing with their G-League affiliates and still trying to crack a permanent roll in NBA. After years of grinding, he finally got a guarantee shoe deal with Adidas worth millions. (His previous shoe deal with Acsis was not guaranteed.)

Xavien Lee withdrew from last year‘s NBA draft, then went back to college and came off a terrific season in Florida and he prove that he deserved to be drafted.
