If Instagram crashed tomorrow, half the “art advisors” would vanish with it. No archive, no inventory, no provenance files — just a grid of borrowed images and a DM inbox.

The dealers who’ve spent 25 years handling the actual works — inspecting condition, tracing provenance, standing behind every sale — would still be here doing exactly what they’ve always done. Because the art market existed long before the algorithm, and it will exist long after.

A follower count is not a provenance record. 25 years of experience is not the same as 25 posts.
