One of Boston’s most popular summer hangouts is getting a fresh start.

The Lawn on D officially reopens on June 6 as The Grove at The Lawn on D, a redesigned outdoor space featuring lush greenery, twinkle lights, cabanas, giant screens, live music, and upgraded food and drink options.

If you remember the Lawn on D’s iconic glowing swings, you’ll know this spot was once one of the city’s biggest summer attractions. Now it’s getting a full refresh with a more garden-inspired atmosphere while keeping the free-entry community vibe that made it popular in the first place.

Expect lobster rolls, poke bowls, frozen cocktails, movie nights, sports watch parties, and regular live music throughout the summer.

The grand opening on June 6 will feature Harpoon’s Boston Chilling Low Key Music Fest, which is free to attend.
