Summer Ball is officially here! 🥎 Mila kicked off the season with a great opening day. After the Opening Ceremony, the girls got right to work with a scrimmage, and she made the most of every opportunity.

She played 2 innings at shortstop and 2 innings at catcher. She went 2 for 2 at the plate and made a couple of big defensive plays behind the dish, including a pickle and the game-ending out at home to win the game.

What makes me the proudest isn’t just today’s stat line. It’s seeing how far she’s come since starting summer ball last year. Her confidence has grown so much, and one of the biggest improvements has been her arm behind the plate. She’s now throwing from catcher to second on the fly with no bounce, something she’s put a lot of time and work into.

She also made her first walk-up of the summer to “Ric Flair Drip,” and it definitely set the tone. 😎🎶

Proud of you, kid. Keep trusting the work, keep having fun, and keep growing.
