Cortis is a South Korean boy band who has been under criticism for their rise to fame making Black music. Martin, a member of Cortis, posted song recommendations like “Ne Plus Ultra” by ear “ELECTRIC” by Frost Children, and “knots” by Matt Proxy…

Matt responded by expressing his disdain for their music, stating he doesn’t care about “songs made in a lab by 50 people… Even when Ye do it.” 

Cortis fans quickly came to Martin’s defense, attacking Matt and even apparently using racial slurs. Slayr saw this online and jokingly tweeted “shoutout Cortis,” which Matt also responded to with some choice words.

Matt called Slayr weird for the tweet, called him competition, and said he’s “tryna b a token 4 dem vultures” 😳
