Abington Heights sophomore attackman Chris Bohn caught up with NEPA Lacrosse after being named the 2026 NEPA Lacrosse Boys Breakout Player of the Year.

Bohn made one of the biggest jumps in the region this season, going from limited varsity minutes as a freshman to becoming Abington Heights’ leading scorer as a sophomore.

He finished the year with 73 goals, 55 assists and 128 points in 22 games, averaging 5.8 points, 3.3 goals and 2.5 assists per game.

Bohn helped power an Abington Heights offense that made program history, as the Comets reached their first District 2 Class 2A final, made their first PIAA state playoff appearance and earned their first state tournament win.

His season also placed him among the top scorers in Pennsylvania, finishing tied for 13th in goals, 12th in assists and 7th in total points on the state leaderboard. He was also the No. 1 sophomore in the state in points.

A Team 34 LC player and multi-sport athlete who also competes in football, Bohn has already totaled 86 goals, 59 assists and 145 points through 41 career games.

We talked with Chris about his jump from freshman to sophomore year, when he felt himself settle into a bigger role, what made this Abington Heights group special, how the offense built confidence, the parts of his game he is most proud of, what he is working on this summer, and what he wants college coaches to know about him as a player.
