‘MICHAEL’ MAKES $1 BILLION

Antoine Fuqua’s #MichaelJackson movie has crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office, becoming the first biopic in Hollywood history to reach the milestone.

Despite months of behind-the-scenes drama and a critical pile-on, #Michael is now the highest-grossing musical biopic ever, surpassing 2018’s #BohemianRhapsody ($911M worldwide), and the highest-grossing film based on a real person, overtaking 2023’s #Oppenheimer ($975M).

Lionsgate is expected to greenlight at least one more film about the King of Pop’s life.
