During Rencontres d’Arles 2026, Hahnemühle sat down with photographer and multidisciplinary artist Ann Ray at the gallery of Jean-François Robert. 

Known for her remarkable 13-year artistic collaboration with the late Lee Alexander McQueen, Ann has developed a deeply poetic visual language that today spans photography, painting, film, and writing - exploring themes of light, memory, fragility, and transformation.

Together, we spoke about the creative process, artistic intuition, and the emotional power of images - revealing the thoughts, experiences, and inspirations that shape her work.
