Beau Simmons got attacked by a bear, drove three hours to the hospital, got stitched up, then got back in the truck and drove six more hours to a ranch in Montana, because the shot couldn’t wait. That photograph is now part of The “Artifact Collection”.

Congratulations to Beau on this body of work. It’s the most personal chapter of his career yet.

The “Artifact Collection” takes his photography of the American West a step further. Each serigraph print is made with hand-collected ranch pigment: real dust, earth, and natural material gathered over years on working ranches across the West, worked directly into the printing process. Printed on archival Coventry Rag paper, every piece isn’t just an image of the West, it’s built from it. Beau’s not only documenting this world anymore, he’s preserving it, piece by piece.
