Boring blue skies have you feeling down about your landscapes? Turn to your telephoto lens and focus in on the finer details of your landscape! 

The telephoto lens is not often thought of as a landscape lens, but it happens to be one of the best choices for outdoor photography. When the light is less than ideal for the wide-angle shot, look to your telephoto lens and zoom in. By removing what isn’t interesting in the scene, you can find much more intriguing shots even in subpar lighting.

Austin Jackson is a landscape and outdoor photographer based in Southern Utah. He loves capturing great light in some of the world’s most stunning locations.
