We have a treat for you today in our season 1 finale.  We have former Pro Bowl center for the Buffalo Bills Eric Wood hitting the course with us for his first ever round of Speedgolf.  Eric is a beast of a man and not someone you would tag as a runner, but man is he fast and he's also an excellent golfer playing to a single digit handicap.  He loves to compete and play traditional golf with friends, but today we're going to introduce him to golf in a different form.  As someone that loves a good early morning cardio workout, I'm confident that he's going to enjoy himself out on the course playing Speedgolf.  

Eric retired from the NFL back in 2018, and is now enjoying life in Louisville KY where he played his college football at the University of Louisville.  Eric is a husband, dad, commentator, author, motivational speaker, and host a Podcast titled "What's Next with Eric Wood".  Eric is also involved with FCA, and active in Men's Ministry over at SECC.    

It should come as no surprise to anyone that a former professional athlete is a fiery competitor and Eric made it very clear that his goal was to beat another Season 1 participant Sam Stone, both in time and score.  Sam and Eric are buddies playing for bragging rights.  Sam played 9 holes in 29 minutes and 44 seconds shooting a 45, for a total Speedgolf score of 74:44.  Eric is going to hit the course looking to shoot a better number and come in with a faster time.  Eric outweighs Sam by about 100 lbs, so he's going to have his work cut out for him and to be fair I'm not sure Sam knew that he would be setting the bar for so many other guys that would be making appearances after him.  

So let's hit the course with an all around awesome Dude in Eric Wood and see if he can get it in the house with a better Speedgolf score than Sam.
