This weeks’ WHY MB comes from the incomparable Ben Glew, ‘28‼️ 

“My name is Ben Glew and I am a sophomore at MB. What drew me to MB in 8th grade was the academic excellence MB had in the classroom along with all of the amazing teachers. However, quickly I discovered a passion for running that I never expected. Currently, I am a member of the varsity cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field teams, a member of the Disciplinary Committee and a representative for Active Minds and the Student Alumni Association. At MB I feel like you make special memories everyday but, if I had to choose one it would be the Varsity Cross Country overnight trip for the Hopkinton Cross Country Festival. The boys team went into the trip with something to prove and we came out with a lot of PR’s and a newfound confidence that helped us finish the season strong. What I love most about the running team is the incredible coaches and the awesome teammates. Coaches Matty, Erika, Thom and Kevin are always pushing us for excellence on and off the track and my teammates are always right by my side supporting me. So far I feel like the most important lesson I learned at MB that helped me grow the most as an athlete and person is being a steward of the community. This means showing up with a good attitude, being present everyday and giving it your all.” #whymb1784 #mbquakernation
