Story Book Series 825: It’s 2026… and we still remember Grace Hopper 👩‍💻

Born in 1906, New York, USA 🇺🇸, Grace Hopper wasn’t just a computer scientist—she was a visionary who believed technology should be easier for people to use.

She pioneered one of the first compilers and played a key role in developing COBOL, a programming language that transformed business computing around the world.

She challenged the idea that computers should only understand machine code. Instead, she imagined a future where computers could understand human-friendly programming languages.

Today, her vision lives on in every application we use, every banking system, every enterprise solution, and every modern programming language.

As AI continues to evolve, her belief remains timeless:

“The most dangerous phrase in the language is, ‘We’ve always done it this way.’”

Innovation begins when we dare to question the ordinary.
