The story starts with two football artists: Mágico González and Diego Maradona. After meeting at the 1982 World Cup, Maradona became one of Mágico’s biggest admirers, once saying that Mágico was “one of the greatest players I have ever seen.”

Maradona’s respect for El Salvador’s greatest football talent created a connection that still lives on today, with many Salvadoran fans showing their support for Argentina.
