Sometimes it’s hard to put into words what this camp means.

Day One of the Buy The Hood Ownership Camp was one of those moments.

As Jimmy, Corey, and I stood in front of a room full of young people, parents came up to us throughout the day saying things like:

“This is beautiful.”

“This is the revolution in progress.”

“Seeing three Black men pour into these children like this… for free… means everything.”

Truthfully, those words hit us harder than they probably realized.

For over a decade, we’ve committed our summers to teaching young people about investing, entrepreneurship, credit, real estate, taxes, and wealth building because we believe changing a community starts with changing what our children know.

The question isn’t whether this work matters.

The question is…

How do we reach more children? More parents? More families?

Because every child deserves access to this knowledge.

Every neighborhood deserves opportunities like this.

And every generation deserves a stronger financial foundation than the one before it.
