Ford didn’t celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks, it celebrated with a Le Mans weapon under a sheet.

For America’s 250th birthday, Ford Racing teased its new Hypercar with a covered prototype, a glimpse of blue-and-white camouflage, and the sound of a naturally aspirated 5.4-liter Coyote-based V8.

The car is being built for Ford’s 2027 return to the top class at Le Mans, where the brand will chase its first overall win since 1969.

It is more than a race car reveal, it is Ford trying to bring American muscle back to the biggest endurance race in the world. Can Ford shock Le Mans again?
