Kareem Abdul-Jabbar dominated with the Milwaukee Bucks with Oscar Robertson, winning the 1971 NBA Championship and Finals MVP and becoming the face of the Showtime Los Angeles Lakers. 14 years later, he was still winning Finals MVP with Magic Johnson, proving why the skyhook remains the most unstoppable shot NBA fans have ever seen. Kawhi Leonard helped Gregg Popovich, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginóbili, and the San Antonio Spurs end the Miami Heat dynasty in 2014, winning NBA Finals MVP guarding LeBron James. He later joined Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam, Marc Gasol, Fred VanVleet, Serge Ibaka, and the Toronto Raptors, delivering Canada’s first ever NBA Championship by defeating Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and the Golden State Warriors. LeBron James did it with three different NBA franchises. He won back to back Finals MVPs with the Miami Heat with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Then he returned home to the Cleveland Cavaliers, leading Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and the Cleveland Cavs to the best comeback in NBA Finals history after beating the Golden State Warriors. LeBron then joined the LA Lakers, teaming up with Anthony Davis and brought another Larry O’Brien Trophy back to LA in 2020, adding a fourth Finals MVP to his résumé while being the only player to win the award with three different basketball teams.
