Playing all 82 games in an NBA season has become one of the rarest accomplishments in basketball. Between injuries, load management, back to back games, and the physical grind of an 82 game schedule, very few NBA players actually suit up every single night anymore.

That’s what made Oklahoma City Thunder star Chet Holmgren response perfect. After completing the entire regular season without missing a game, he didn’t post a long message, celebrate with a highlight reel, or write a paragraph about the accomplishment. He simply tweeted and took to social media in a short blurb with a picture of NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, that I am now sharing with Instagram users and an Instagram post.

Four characters and a picture of NBA Finals MVP and NBA Champion SGA that instantly became a fan favorite. The simplicity made it even funnier for basketball fans. No explanation needed, just a reminder that while everyone jokes about load management and sitting out games, he showed up every single night for all 82 for the OKC Thunder. Availability is one of the most underrated abilities in professional sports, and finishing a full NBA season healthy is something very few players can say they’ve done.
