In Zhejiang province, winds of 144 kilometres an hour were recorded, according to the provincial meteorological observatory. ⁣
⁣
After landfall, the typhoon is expected to continue moving northwestward while weakening.⁣
⁣
The typhoon is forecast to bring torrential rains to Zhejiang's coastal regions and its central and southern parts overnight and heavy to torrential rains to its western regions.⁣

In the Philippines, at least 18 people were killed in landslides and other incidents triggered by heavy rains driven by Bavi, most on the southern island of Mindanao. ⁣
