You are too old to start. Stick to your career, music is a hobby. Nobody wants to see a 50 year old on stage. You need a music degree first. Wait until you have more followers.

If I had listened to any of it, I would never have played EDC or Burning Man. I would not be living my second act as a full time DJ and producer.

Ignore advice that limits you. Take action that proves what is actually possible.
