Another human being shot and killed by ICE. Already. Just days after we watched Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a hardworking father who wasn’t even their target and had been in the U.S. for decades, murdered in Houston we are met with the news of another deadly shooting by federal agents – this time a 26-year-old man in Maine who was authorized to work in the U.S. Federal immigration agents have shot at least 22 people since last year, and at least six have died. On top of that, at least 52 people have died in ICE custody since Trump took office again. People are dying in ICE custody at a higher rate now than at any point over the last decade, including Trump’s last term. We have a moral choice to make in this country. We must stop pouring billions of taxpayer dollars into funding an agency that terrorizes our neighborhoods, acts like a rogue paramilitary force, and operates completely in the dark, covering their faces with masks and not even wearing body cameras. We are funding state-sanctioned violence while our communities are starving for necessary investments and our people are struggling to afford their basic needs. We must abolish ICE. #ChangeCantWait #AngieForAll #AbolishICE
