8 years ago today, Ariana Grande released "God Is A Woman" as the second single from her fourth album, Sweetener. 

The official music video was released later the same day. It was directed by Dave Meyers and features a spoken cameo by Madonna reciting Samuel L. Jackson's "Ezekiel 25:17" speech from Pulp Fiction: "And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my sisters. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." The video pays homage to Greek mythology, The Creation of Adam, and Romulus and Remus.
