Sycamores’ Shannon San Pedro, and Shefali D’Sa (pictured here with Breaking Barriers founder Elizabeth Estes), and Marisa Perez-Martin presented at the Breaking Barriers Interagency Symposium with our partners from Los Angeles County Office of Education and Pasadena Unified School District. Breaking Barriers is a collaborative of leaders from across child-serving systems throughout California who are united by the conviction that only through collaborative planning and problem solving can we insure the educational, social, emotional, and behavioral wellbeing of California's children and youth. The presentation focused on how the Sycamores Team and out partners are implementing the Community Schools model at Pasadena High School Bulldogs, providing mental health and case management services to students and families.
