This month, our Youth Leadership Program members attended #ArtsDayLA, a dialogue between arts advocates and city council representatives with the goal of advancing access to the arts throughout Los Angeles. Our youth traveled to @LACityHall for this special day of civic engagement and recognition for the arts to observe and be inspired to grow their own voice. Highlight of the day: meeting and speaking with Grammy award-winning musician and activist Quetzal Flores of popular band Quetzal, who was raised in Highland Park! The youth had the chance to listen to his speech before the council and watch his musical performance.
