Enjoying the crisp fall air? Well, so do the ticks! Adult blacklegged ticks are active in the fall, until temperatures drop below freezing or snow covers the ground. The best way to prevent tickborne disease is to prevent tick bites.

✅Make sure to use repellent throughout the season when you are outdoors!
✅Walk in the center of the trail to reduce contact with ticks.
✅Perform full-body tick checks after being outdoors in areas where ticks may be present.
✅Remove the ticks ASAP.
