અમદાવાદમાં ભગવાન જગન્નાથજીની 149મી ઐતિહાસિક રથયાત્રાનો ભક્તિભાવ વચ્ચે ભવ્ય પ્રારંભ થઈ ચૂક્યો છે. રથયાત્રાના માર્ગ પર ખાસ કરીને ઢાળ ની પોળ વિસ્તારમાં હજારોની સંખ્યામાં શ્રદ્ધાળુઓ ભગવાનના દર્શન માટે ઉમટી પડ્યા છે. ભગવાનની એક ઝલક મેળવવા માટે ભક્તો કલાકોથી રસ્તાઓ પર રાહ જોઈ રહ્યા છે. બીજી તરફ સુરક્ષાને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને પોલીસનો ચુસ્ત બંદોબસ્ત ગોઠવવામાં આવ્યો છે. ટેરેસ પરથી દૂરબીન વડે સતત મોનિટરિંગ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે, જ્યારે સમગ્ર રૂટ પર પોલીસની બાજ નજર વચ્ચે રથયાત્રા શાંતિપૂર્ણ માહોલમાં આગળ વધી રહી છે.
