જે માસૂમને માતાના ખોળામાં હોવું જોઈએ, તે ભરૂચના હાંસોટના રાયમા ગામ નજીક નહેર પાસે ખુલ્લા આકાશ નીચે લાવારિસ હાલતમાં મળી આવ્યું છે. વરસાદી વાતાવરણ વચ્ચે માત્ર એક જ મહિનાના આ નિરાધાર શિશુ પર સ્થાનિક લોકોની નજર પડતાં જ તેમણે ત્વરિત ૧૦૮ એમ્બ્યુલન્સને જાણ કરી બાળકને હોસ્પિટલ ખસેડ્યું હતું, જ્યાં હાલ તેની સારવાર ચાલી રહી છે. કાળજું કંપાવી દેતી આ ઘટનાની જાણ થતાં જ હાંસોટ પોલીસે સ્થળ પર પહોંચીને તપાસનો ધમધમાટ શરૂ કર્યો છે કે આખરે આ નિર્દોષ માસૂમને આ કપરા વાતાવરણમાં મોતને મોંમાં ધકેલીને જનારી પાષાણ હૃદયની માતા કે પરિવાર કોણ છે? મમતાની હૂંફ માટે તરસતા એક માસૂમની આ નિઃશબ્દ ચીસ સમાજ સામે અનેક ગંભીર સવાલો ઊભા કરે છે.
