A memorable afternoon of steak, fellowship and gratitude was shared by Residents from the Silver Bay Veterans Home at the DAV Chapter 18 Golf Scramble.

While the meal was outstanding, the most meaningful part of the day came as Residents prepared to leave. Nearly every golfer boarded the bus to personally thank them for their service.

One of the Homes Residents summed up the experience best: "You had to be there to see the look on each person's face as they said thank you and how much that meant to us."

It was a powerful reminder that while events and meals create memories, genuine appreciation and human connection are what truly touch the hearts of Minnesota Veterans.
