The Montevideo Veterans Home had a wonderful, activity-filled Veterans Homes Week honoring Veteran Residents and celebrating their Home!

The week kicked off with Tourist Travel Day, followed by Hometown Heroes Day, where Veterans created thoughtful gift baskets for our local police department, Veteran Service Officers, EMS, city workers and fire department as a way to give back to those who serve their community.

On Wednesday, they celebrated Stars and Stripes with a patriotic flowerpot craft, a special presentation featuring Theodore Roosevelt and bingo sponsored by the Legion of St. Micheal Riders.

They also enjoyed Decades Day, filled with music, dress-up and shared memories through baby and graduation photos—such a meaningful way to connect.

The Home wrapped up the week with Homegrown American Day / Hometown Pride, featuring baseball, carnival games and plenty of smiles.
