The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is sharing the personal stories of Minnesota Veterans through a series of 90-second audio interviews. Each segment highlights the challenges Veterans face and the support available to them and their families.

Take Jodine’s story:
🌍 Her deployment to Kuwait lasted nearly a year, but being with fellow Minnesotans made the experience more supportive.
💼 Balancing National Guard training with a full-time civilian job brought stress—especially when colleagues assumed her service time was just “vacation.”
🛡️ When her employer didn’t respect her military rights, Jodine reached out to Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for help.
