We salute and remember the women who courageously served and those currently serving our state and nation, and we honor our female veterans and their families for their outstanding service, sacrifice and remarkable dedication to our nation. More than 25,000 Minnesota Women have served our state and nation in the Armed Forces. Since WWII, women have served in various military capacities such as Air Force service pilots, doctors and nurses, medical technicians, drivers, aviators, gunners, mechanics, administrators, supply technicians, intelligence and communications, and many other technical fields. It is important to honor, remember and thank these patriots for their service and sacrifice, because women were there, too. #WomenVeteransDay
