A few things worth blocking off the calendar for this season: 

1. Del Mar Races | Opening Day July 17
Opening Day at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. Fancy hats, ocean views, and the most iconic summer tradition in San Diego. The 87th season kicks off and runs all summer long.

2. Carlsbad TGIF Concerts in the Park – Every Friday through August
Free outdoor concerts at Stagecoach and Calavera Hills Community Parks. July lineup hits everything from Harbor Party vibes (July 17) to Sabrosas Latin Orchestra (July 24) to a 90s Rock Show (July 31). Bring a blanket, bring wine.

3. Over-the-Line Tournament | July 11–12 & 18–19
73rd Annual World Championship OTL at Fiesta Island in Mission Bay. 1,000+ beach teams, completely free to watch, 100% pure San Diego energy.

4. San Diego Pride | July 11–19
One of the biggest Pride celebrations in the country. The parade is July 15, festival runs July 15–16, and the whole week builds into one of the most electric events of the summer.

5. Comic-Con International | July 23–26
The entire city turns into pop culture central. The Gaslamp and waterfront are completely transformed, even if you’re not inside, the outside energy is worth experiencing.
