## Caption

Tanzania estimates that 42,000 new cancer cases are diagnosed each year. However, there is no national population-based registry to provide reliable data. In 2020, the leading cancers were cervical (25%), breast (10%), and prostate (9%). Cancer is the second leading cause of death for women and the fifth leading cause for men in Tanzania. In 2022, there were more than 26,000 cancer deaths in the country.
