That’s how Carlos Castañeda, associate professor in suartsciences, explains his work in examining the biological processes behind diseases like Alzheimer’s and ALS. 

Through an NIH grant award, Castañeda and his research team at #SyracuseU have the opportunity to conduct experiments on cell proteins to see how certain damages may affect the brain. Their discoveries could open new possibilities for treating neurodegenerative diseases.
