So often when I miss events people apologize and say, “sorry you had to miss that…” But the funny thing is that I am never sorry. I couldn’t wait to be a father so I honor the gift that fatherhood has given me by prioritizing my time for THEM FIRST ALWAYS!!! It’s a non-negotiable.

When Kay Kay was pregnant she never stopped me from living my life while she was carrying. Every decision I made to be present was my own and it hasn’t changed now, but SHE couldn’t always choose for herself. Children required her to sit down for some time to care for both herself and the baby. 

So at this phase of my life I choose to sit more often than not. Not out of obligation or guilt, but because I simply WANT TO. Period. These are my kids, who better to teach them daily than the person that prayed to God for them? It really is a pleasure. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
