This biennial convening of sisterhood, service, and celebration is especially meaningful as we return to Washington, D.C., the birthplace of our beloved Sorority. 

Below are a few 𝒇𝒖𝒏 + 𝒌𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒔 to explore as we reflect on the historic gatherings that have shaped our journey:

🔺Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. held our first National Convention was held at Howard University on December 27, 1919. 

🔺Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. held our Centennial Celebration (51st National Convention), attended by a historic 40,000 members, was held in Washington, D.C. from July 11-17, 2013, which four members from the Kilgore Alumnae Chapter attended.

🔺Kilgore Alumnae Chapter has had atleast two delegates at every National Convention since 1990. 

🔺Kilgore Alumnae Chapter had 13 delegates attending the 56th National Convention in Indianapolis which is the largest chapter attendance in chapter history.

𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒆 “𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆,” we proudly continue our legacy of service, leadership, and sisterhood: rooted in purpose and moving boldly into the future.
