Over the past two years, KAC has expanded its impact by fulfilling key programmatic thrusts. In ๐ธ๐‘‘๐‘ข๐‘๐‘Ž๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘œ๐‘›๐‘Ž๐‘™ ๐ท๐‘’๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘™๐‘œ๐‘๐‘š๐‘’๐‘›๐‘ก, weโ€™ve read to students at Ware Elementary, held a school supply drive, hosted May Week programs, and honored retired Black educators. For ๐‘ƒโ„Ž๐‘ฆ๐‘ ๐‘–๐‘๐‘Ž๐‘™ ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘‘ ๐‘€๐‘’๐‘›๐‘ก๐‘Ž๐‘™ ๐ป๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘™๐‘กโ„Ž, weโ€™ve organized breast cancer and mental health awareness walks. For ๐‘ƒ๐‘œ๐‘™๐‘–๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘๐‘Ž๐‘™ ๐ด๐‘ค๐‘Ž๐‘Ÿ๐‘’๐‘›๐‘’๐‘ ๐‘  ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘‘ ๐ผ๐‘›๐‘ฃ๐‘œ๐‘™๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘š๐‘’๐‘›๐‘ก, weโ€™ve participated in Delta Days in East Texas and promoted voter education. For ๐ธ๐‘๐‘œ๐‘›๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘–๐‘ ๐ท๐‘’๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘™๐‘œ๐‘๐‘š๐‘’๐‘›๐‘ก, KAC adopted a highway for cleanup as well as won the 2024 SWR 1st Place Small Chapter award for our โ€œCrimson and Cream Goes Black for Greenโ€ initiative supporting Black-owned businesses. โ€ข The Kilgore Alumnae Chapter proudly shines as a beacon of excellence, embodying the power of college-educated women dedicated to uplifting the Black community.
