Sis Bates is known for the energy and positivity she brings to everyone around her.

After being placed on the 7-day injured list on July 9, Bates spoke with We Live Softball about finding new ways to contribute while she is unable to take the field.

“I am a firm believer that all roles matter,” Bates said.

“Although I can’t be on the field right now, I can impact in a different way […] and pour confidence and love into everybody.”

We also asked Bates which teammate has lifted her up most throughout her career. The first person who came to mind was Sam Fischer, whom Bates credited with consistently pouring love, joy and confidence into her.
