Friday Feature: Sarah Conti, SKC Designs

Sarah is the founder & principal designer of her Rochester-based interior design studio, SKC Designs. With a philosophy rooted in the belief that a home should be a functional and beautiful sanctuary, she creates timeless spaces that intuitively support the lives of her clients.

Driven by an early ambition to work in Chicago's iconic Merchandise Mart, Sarah did just that upon graduating from design school. Her career flourished as she honed her skills in some of the design industries most prestigious showrooms, including The Lane Group, Holly Hunt, and Scalamandré, where she rose to become a territory sales manager. This experience provided her with an invaluable, firsthand education in luxury textiles, high-end furnishings, and the intricacies of the design industry. 

Today, Sarah's work is a reflection of her entire journey: the practicality of her Minnesota roots, the sophistication of her Minneapolis and Chicago career, and a profound understanding of the psychology behind how people live with the study of NeuroAesthetics. She excels at creating comfortable, layered spaces that function seamlessly, believing the most successful design is not just seen, but deeply felt.
