🇺🇸 Honoring the Past, Building for the Future

Today, the Texas Veterans Land Board broke ground on a $16 million expansion of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen — a sacred resting place for nearly 18,000 heroes.

The project adds 4,700 prepositioned crypts, 4,000 columbaria niches, 2,700 cremation plots, and a new committal shelter — ensuring space for the next decade of veterans who’ve earned this honor.

Construction begins this December with completion set for summer 2027.
