In honor of #WorldRainforestDay we're celebrating the incredible work of the Forum Konservasi Leuser (FKL)-DZCA partnership, protecting one of the most biodiverse places on Earth: the Leuser Ecosystem of Sumatra, Indonesia. 

This vital rainforest is home to Sumatran tigers, elephants, rhinos, and countless other species that depend on healthy forest habitats to survive.  From building research stations in remote Samarkilang to monitoring wildlife with camera traps, our partnership is helping secure a future for this irreplaceable ecosystem. 🌏 

The Leuser Ecosystem is also home to wild Sumatran orangutans, the same Critically Endangered species as our very own Hesty, who recently had a baby. Every orangutan born, whether in the wild or in human care, is a meaningful milestone for this species. And every acre of rainforest protection gives wild orangutans and their babies a fighting chance. 🦧 

This is what #SavingWildlifeTogether looks like: a global community united for wildlife, from the forests of Sumatra to right here in Denver.
