There are reports coming out that the problem between now “former” Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman and Dylan Larkin started back after Henrik Zetterberg retired and Larkin was not immediately named captain. Not being named captain for another two plus years did not sit well with Larkin, who was named captain in 2021
