📜 #FlashbackFriday Before Friday night lights, there was Venice-Nokomis High School basketball. 🏀

This 1938 Letter Award recognized Donald D. Platt for earning his school letter in “basket-ball” at Venice-Nokomis High School. Signed by Principal Milton J. Curry and Coach L.G. Pitts Jr., it’s a reminder that school pride, teamwork and hometown spirit have long been part of the Venice story. 🏆

As we celebrate 100 Years of Venice, we’re having fun sharing pieces of our community’s history that help tell the story of the people who live here! 🤩
