Dominion Energy is proposing to build a power pole taller than the Statue of Liberty in her backyard, a project that also runs through Loudoun County Public Schools property. Dominion said it urgently needs to build a new high-voltage line to "keep everyone's lights on."⁠

Monday night, after an hour of public comment wholly opposing the project, the board voted to begin the legal process of formally asking state regulators to reconsider and keep the high-voltage transmission lines off of school property and out of the nearby neighborhood.⁠
